Strength Pilates

Our Pilates method is focused on building strength with precision. We’ve figured out how to progressively load muscles using your bodyweight (and sometimes dumbbells) in a way that is approachable, satisfying, and consistently challenging. 


No-Prop Classes

We spent the first year (!) teaching only no-prop classes to ensure Firesiders could learn and perfect the foundations: form, core engagement, pace, and control. We adjusted the difficulty using physics by playing around with angles, lever lengths and working one side of the body at a time.

These classes are the starting point for everyone and the go-to when traveling.


Instruction

We can’t be humble here: what you get out of Pilates is so dependent on your instructor, and we’re confident we’re different — and very good. We care about precise form and will explain how to properly do an exercise and give you reminders when you’re getting tired (we can’t see you but we know).


Hint of Podcast

We started teaching each other Pilates over FaceTime as a way to hang out. While we have high standards for good instruction, we realized that chatter and banter made Pilates more enjoyable and helped us stay consistent.
